Don't Fear The Reaper

Whew, finally done! This was an on-off, all-day project. And here's the result.

This is 's OC, also named Dieman. I wouldn't really say this is a request (nor a commission), so much as fanart. Me drawing one of his OCs came up in conversation, and it reminded me that I adore his character designs and really wanted to try drawing one of them for myself.

This was also a bit of an experiment. I tackled all the things I'm least skilled in at once here. Dynamic poses, foreshortening, and profile angles on faces. All in all though, from a technical standpoint, I believe I managed to not royally eff it up, at least.

As for the design, it was pretty tricky. Dieman's got that awesome hair, but I went through a bunch of revisions trying to get it to look right, and I'm still not sure I got it.

_{I was originally going to do this giant moon behind him for the BG, but then it occurred to me how much of a nightmare it'd be for me to try and figure out how to shade that at my current level, derp.}

Anyway, not gonna whine about this anymore. Instead I'm going to do something I don't usually do, and cite all the stuff that I used for reference materials, JUST BECAUSE.
